Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a full custom kitchen renovation take in the GTA?
By restructuring the design and material selection process, we have severely reduced build times. A standard luxury kitchen refit typically takes 4-6 weeks, while a project involving load-bearing wall removals and structural engineering will take 6-9 weeks from demolition to final polish.
Can you safely remove walls to create an open-concept kitchen?
Yes. CMY Renovations handles the full scope of structural modifications. We procure the architectural drawings, secure city building permits, install flush steel or LVL beams, and reroute all plumbing/electrical to seamlessly bridge your kitchen with your living space.
Are custom cabinets better than pre-fabricated ones?
Custom cabinetry allows us to utilize 100% of your kitchen's footprint, extending millwork perfectly to the ceiling without awkward gaps. It also allows for higher-grade materials, stronger hardware, and built-in smart storage solutions that pre-fab boxes simply cannot accommodate.
